You set up your embouchure before you you play a note. Exactly the same way every time. I am still figuring mine out.....as a beginner. Thanks for these videos.

Wow! Playing through with you and on Exercise 5. Playing B and C above staff much more clearly, calmly. I bought the stamps warm up book a long time ago but am only now getting in to it with your fine online example. I'm a 50 year retread; quit playing in high school, 1972 ,and picked it up again a year ago to participate in a local New Horizons band. Subscribed and bookmarked. Your youtube channel is a great service. Thank you for the sacrifice and effort to help students like myself!

WOW! Just found this - really cool. I'm 67 years old and just started playing my horn again one year ago. Quit band in 1972. Now I'm retired and joined a "New Horizon" band in town. I'm a youngster there! Also part of a quintet. I got a LOT of catching up to do. Was looking for Shlossberg examples on the internet and found this. Spectacular. Request: Can you do the same for Clarke, Claude Gordon, Victor V. Salvo, Getchell, and Cichowicz please? :)

I just purchased my first flugelhorn. I came across your video because I wanted to learn. great video! My question is can you push the gas on the flugelhorn, or you should always play on the softer side?

If im following a heavy and light day routine and smith says to play it every day. Do i follow that or do it on heavy days.

The lip buzz is SUPPOSED to be an octave below the mouthpiece buzz, so you’re doing the exercises absolutely correctly. According to Mr. Stamp, if the lip buzz produces the same notes as the mouthpiece buzz, there is excess tension in the lips.

Hi, what do you think about the 4 valve Flugelhorn? advantages and disadvantages? any issues for first time learners? We received one as a gift but not too sure if it's more difficult or a lot more different that the regular 3 valve Flugelhorn. Any advice will be appreciated.

What kind of mouthpiece are you using?

Hello good sir, I am a fan of your playing, but I am struggling to play the pedal tones and come back up to the staff notes with the same feeling and sound. Perhaps I'm over adjusting.
